Museums In Malaga - Bullring And Bullfighting Museum

Established in 1874 by Joaquin Rucoba in Neo-Mudejar style, the bullring is located in Paseo de Reding, in the district of La Malagueta and has capacity for 14,000 persons. It was inaugurated on 11th June 1876.
La Malagueta Bullring, which forms a regular 16-sided polygon, houses the Antonio Ordonez Bullfighting Museum where visitors will find an array of objects relating to this art. The articles on display include 'suits of light' (the brightly adorned outfits worn by the matadors and their assistants), photographs, posters and other valuable objects related to what is considered, and called, the 'national festival'. The museum was given its name in honour of the legendary bullfighter from Ronda, Antonio Ordonez, who had so many glorious victories in this bullring.
