This demanding course with its abundant vegetation, difficult rough and large greenside bunker is another Trent Jones design. It requires strict concentration and straight drives.
The front nine holes begin in a westerly direction and the double back to finish with a long par five. But watch out for the 8th, which although only 129 metres long from tee to green, has a vertical drop of 30 metres straight down.

Designed by two professional Spanish golfers, the La Quinta Golf Club forms one of the busiest golf resorts on the Costa del Sol.
The course comprises of 27 holes, a 18 hole course and another of 9 holes which can be combined to suit the wishes of the players and is characterised by winding and narrow holes, wide and narrow fairways and a great view of the mountains and sea.
The course thus poses an extraordinary challenge to even professionals including Severiano Ballesteros, Chema Olazabal and Manuel Pinero.
